I am not a researcher that is in the top tier or a major player.  I am thankful for all of the page views I get per month since my profile is not high and there is no site promotion, no books, or give talks anywhere.  It’s due to the number of people that are interested in the assassination of John F. Kennedy and I think many people do not believe the official story.  Once you start a deep inquiry that becomes obvious.

Even though I am just a guy writing articles basically saying the “Emperor has no clothes,” somewhere along the way I got their attention.  It doesn’t take much.  Just call the National Security State a bunch of liars and on a list you go.  The same list that gets my checked luggage searched every time I fly.  Or my always locked pickup truck tampered with by turning on the windshield wipers, the driver’s side rear view mirror turned in the wrong direction and a large turtle placed behind the back seat.  I am glad it wasn’t a rattlesnake!  I placed a trail cam on a nearby tree and all of the tampering of the truck ended.  Generally things have slacked off over the past few years probably to my lack of posting articles, which was due to being my father’s caregiver which was a full time job. He has since passed and my time is freeing up again to continue my work.

I wonder what the more well-known researchers go through?

After writing on this blog for almost 10 years, I am most intrigued at the number of government, military and contractor web sites that my traffic app picks up.  Our Federal employees love to read about the JFK assassination!  Seriously, do they? Enough readers show up and more than once as well.  

One of the more interesting visitors, and quite a surprise, was the NSA.  To Make it more interesting , they probed with an ncsc.mil bot.  Try the ULR, it doesn’t go anywhere.  I found out from an article on crythome.org that they had the same bot visit their site with the same ncsc.mil URL.  Their research uncovered the NSA as the source of the bot.  Deep State poking around on the sly, but the right people with the know-how and the right tools can suss them out.

Props For Researcher Pat Speer

Why?  Because Pat Speer has the patience and fortitude to examine and review just about everything said about the Kennedy assassination leading up to, and during, the 50th Anniversary of the event in 2013.  This includes it all: print, web, and TV.  I really didn’t have the wherewithal to sit thru it thinking I would be so angry I would not be able to sleep at night.  I’m so glad somebody did this work as it needed to be done.  

His review, entitled, The Onslaught: the Media's Response to the 50th Anniversary of the JFK Assassination, is a master clinic in media machinations involving presenting the case to the American, where most television commentators on the major networks, or journalists, have little or no understanding of the event.  After reading two very long pages of Speer’s analysis, it’s really quite amazing to see such a divergent group of people, from the web, print media, PBS, and cable news news networks, people of different backgrounds from seasoned print journalists to new media writers, can all come to the same conclusion:  The Warren Commission got it right.

The conclusion being that there is no conspiracy, that conspiracy is just a bunch of made-up stories, that Lee Oswald is guilty of not only killing President Kennedy, but Officer Tippet, and attempted to assassinate General Walker as well.  It’s amazing to see them all walk in unison together like this.  It’s a hive-mind in operation.  Just one big collective of dead thinkers from all over the place. 

The stumbling block for all of these people is the single bullet theory.  SBT as we call it.  Two ballistic experts, Luke and Michael Haag (father and son), are tasked with replicating it.  They will make the rounds to a host of documentaries on various networks.  Their tests are all supposed to be scientific and feature stunts that have been done before.  As Speer shows, much is flawed in their demonstrations--wrong distances, angles, still targets, not shooting at bone, and so on.  How ironic to have experts trying to prove a theory that comes from non-ballistic experts, i.e., lawyers.  How convoluted is that?  Very!  The staff attorney’s created the SBT for purely political reasons once the FBI came up with an errant bullet striking the curb on Commerce wounding James Tague.  In the end, the Haag’s come off as a pair of fakers to those of us who have studied the case.  At no point in these demonstrations, is it ever revealed that the Warren Commission in 1964 tasked ballistic experts doctors Dolce and Light to conduct tests on cadavers using Oswald’s rifle at the U. S. Army Edgewood Arsenal.  As Dr. Dolce stated in an interview in 1986, each of the ten test fired bullets were in his words, “markably deformed.”  Dr. Dolce was not called to give testimony to Warren Commission and his findings were buried in a report, published in March of 1965, that was classified “confidential” for 8 years before being placed in the NARA.  You’ll never see this mentioned in any of these programs.

And this thread of fakery runs through just about every show and article on JFK’s assassination.  I think what it shows more than anything is how co-opted the American media is when it comes to the controversy surrounding the case.  It should be a time honored American tradition to question and test what the government tells us.  

I don’t know what the are more bothered with...conspiracy or controversy.  

Here is the quote, by Pulitzer prize-winner David Horsey, in the LA Times that most aggravates me:

“In the real world, though, conspiracies tend to unravel. Somebody squeals, somebody leaks, somebody betrays. We always find out – and usually because a conspiring collective of humans is bound to screw up.”

Does this learned man understand anything about history at all?  It’s rife with conspiracy.  To suggest that conspiracies unravel due to human frailty is ludicrous.  Plots can unravel but they mainly unravel after the deed is carried out.  And some, such as the JFK conspiracy can last seemingly forever by having jack legs such as Horsey who would rather pontificate on a national medium rather than conduct a proper investigation.  In many ways people like this are unwittingly government shills, if not on the payroll.  And we know what former CIA director William Colby said about that in front of Congress; that all major media figures are under their control.

Conspiracies are real.  Conspiracy is not a theory, it's a crime.  The one involving JFK’s death is ongoing for 50 years.  It does happen.  About a dozen people were involved with the conspiracy to assassinate Abraham Lincoln.  Who talked there? Nobody.  Dozens of men were involved in the plot to a assassinate Adolf Hitler.  Who talked there? Nobody.  The nineteen hijackers on 9/11.  Did any of them talk?  Of course not.

I think Pat Speer sums it up when commenting on the early journalists that looked into the assassination.  As he put it, “..they basically accept whatever evidence is put on the plate before them.”  

To be fair, that was a time when most people believed their government.  However, a host of revelations were to follow over the next decade to dispel that.  A whole lot of lying was uncovered from Vietnam, Watergate, and the CIA/FBI revelations. The disappointing thing is that people in the media today still believe what is presented to them with minimal examination. 

Speer finishes up with the following:  “I mean, have any of the old newsmen dragged out to tell their stories --MacNeil, Lehrer, Schieffer, Rather, Brokaw, Aynesworth, Allman, and Payne--expressed the slightest doubt about the most doubtful aspect of the Warren Commission's conclusions: the single-bullet theory? I don't believe so.” 

So the most common prevailers of the lone nut theory in all of these 50th Anniversary media presentations (print-web-TV) either have no working knowledge of the case, are government shills, money and fame seekers, habitual liars, or just a bunch of opinionated blowhards.  I imagine the next generation of stooges will be in place for the 100th Anniversary.  I’m glad I won’t be here to see it.

Jack White Interview

Researcher Jack White passed away recently (1927-2012).  He was well admired in the research community and helped broaden our knowledge of the Kennedy assassination.

Here is an interview conducted by Len Oscanic at Black Op Radio with Jack (black583d).

One interesting point Jack White makes is in regards to his testimony in with the HSCA and how he was told by a lawyer the limits of what could be discussed.  Issues made clear to him was that there would be no discussions of Lee Oswald being an intelligence agent or being impersonated.  If he did so, says White, he would be held in contempt of Congress.  Very heavy-handed!  Why are there issues like this that can’t be investigated or for that matter discussed?  And then out of the other side of their mouth they say there is no evidence to support Oswald being a government agent.  Of course not if you are not going to look into it.  What cheek!

RIP Mr. White.

Two New Interviews at Black Op Radio

Two excellent interviews by Len Osanic are posted on his Black Op Radio site.

First up is Show #569 featuring Doug Horne, former analyst for the ARRB. He covers many topics from the recently released Air Force One tapes to the various activities of General Curtis LeMay. He covers a lot of detailed information regarding the machinations surrounding the President’s autopsy. This three hour interview makes for a long download so if you have a slow connection there could be a long wait to receive the file.

Secondly, Show #570 features Larry Hancock, author and noted JFK researcher. He covers many topics related to the assassination from CIA operations, to Cuba, to Oswald’s trip to Mexico City, among many other topics. Interview is 1:46:03 long.

Highly recommended and a lot of very useful information is presented here from both of these researchers.

Adventures of a JFK Blogger

I assumed after I listed my email address after I started this research blog into the Kennedy assassination I would all kinds of interesting characters contacting me. And they did. A mixed collection of pranksters, guys with far-out theories, authors, random individual stories, and thankfully, legitimate researchers that have been around for years doing yeoman work. I knew getting into this everybody has a theory and some were going to be kooky. It is the loony ones that bring all of this ridicule and mockery from the Establishment that insists that conspiracies to kill presidents haven’t happened since Abe Lincoln went to Ford’s Theater in 1865.

I was contacted last week by one of the far-outs. This guy proposed the idea that the grassy knoll shooter was a diversion; the real kill shot came from Jackie. Brother, spare me! He provided links and all, but I never darkened the site of those pages. I wonder if some guys enjoy pulling pranks with this nonsense. Or maybe somebody else thinking I’ll bite and write on article on this subject. Needless to say, I never responded back. How can I? The only fringe topic I like to explore is the doppelganger theory. And the only reason I’m on to that is because of the evidence that there might actually have been a double of Oswald in play. It does help to iron out the conflicts in Lee Oswald’s timeline as they are legion. There is a load of high strangeness in the Kennedy assassination and sorting it all out is a quite a chore. Rabbit trails abound; it’s avoiding the rat holes you encounter along the way.

One of the lesser far-outs wrote to me about an article in Rolling Stone from years ago about Oswald showing up somewhere, and talking to some guy about LDS and how this would be big in the years to come. Of course LSD was largely unknown at the time except to the Timothy Leary bunch and the weirdoes at the CIA conducting the MK-ULTRA experiments on unsuspecting (and sometimes suspecting) souls. Of course, LSD would make its impact a few years later via the hippie/youth movement culture, but I fail to see why this matters or where it fits. It’s another distraction. I quickly move on.

I was pleased to get an email from Tommy G. Thompson. A Texas based artist now, he was attending Stripling Junior High Fort Worth in 1963 and recalls the hullaballoo that erupted when the FBI showed up. Lee’s mother Marguerite was living in a duplex right across the street from the school at the time. He says he knew assistant principle Frank Kudlaty, who he described as a “straight shooter.” Kudlaty gave his account in John Armstrong’s Harvey and Lee, of handing over Lee Oswald’s school records to the FBI the day after the assassination. Of course that raises a major problem as Oswald’s surviving school records have him attending Beauregard Junior High in New Orleans at the same time. But his brother, mother and some fellow students remember him attending Stripling in the fall of 1954. A strange incident in the annals of the investigation to be sure. Anyway, it was good to be contacted by someone so close the event at the time.

One of the more interesting and annoying encounters I’ve had was with journalist Russ Baker. He’s the author of Family of Secrets, regarding the history of the Bush family. In my piece, What Did Poppy Know And When Did He Know It?, I listed his book as a source. Shortly thereafter, I got a full-page email in which he was alternately nice and alternately anal. I received a lecture on the proper form of using references, such as how the author’s name should be listed (last name, first name, book title). Hey, it’s a blog, not a doctrinal thesis! I did take his advice on that issue and have since wrote them in proper form. He then lectured me on the context of which they were used in the relation to each other. Whoa. I had the feeling Mr. Ego Man wasn’t in the mood to share the stage with anybody else mentioned in the piece. He then went on to imply I was plagiarizing his work, which is funny as what I was writing about is publicly known, or would be known to a researchers of the JFK assassination. Then he finished off asking me to post a link on my blog to his book link on Amazon. What cheek! What am I, a free PR outlet for his book? Like he would give me a link on his site or do anything for me. Or course I passed.

I never replied and back and never heard from him again. I’m just a little blogger out here, no threat to anyone. I do respect Mr. Baker for wanting to protect his work but this approach is like trying to swat a fly with a Louisville slugger. It is akin to producing your own translation of the Bible and then putting your copyright on it (which by the way, had been done). The whole affair left me with ambivalent feelings for this man. A while back I heard his interview on the C2C AM show and Russ Baker is apparently well versed in the art of the self-promoter. At one point he made reference to “...the secrets I uncovered in my book.” Having read his book I wondered, what secrets? Virtually everything he wrote about is public knowledge or has been documented by other authors. As a JFK researcher it is familiar to me, though possibly not to the public at large on this subject. However, it is good to have all of this information on the Bush family in a single volume to study.

Though I have a hard time believing any of it, if you want to read some really wild dirt on the Bush clan then check out Sherman Skolnick. The late mud-raker’s web site is www.skolnicksreport.com. Though rarely sourced, and deeply influenced by dark conspiracies, Skolnick’s digging rages on, making Russ Baker seem like he didn’t go far enough, only looking through a dusty window into the basement Bush family intrigues; though Baker’s work is believable and competently sourced. Perhaps a deeper look into Skolnick’s work would yield some grains of truth we don’t want to face. Such as, just how deep and dark are our politics?

One valuable lesson I learned in writing articles here is to avoid other people’s pissing matches. I didn’t one time and got burned. There are two sides to every story so find out what the other says before you dig in. Or better yet, just let it be.
